Morley Gaels Football Club was established in 1975. It was originally called the Kalamunda Kangaroos Gaelic Football Team and the founders of the club were George Chiari (VC), Primo Chiari, Bert Houlihan, Brian Binstead, B, Kelly (Capt) and Father Conway. The club had a very Strong Italian player base as well as Irish and Australian
The name changed from Kalamunda to Morley Celtics in early 1980s then to Morley Gaelic Football Club in 1989. The ladies team was established in 1997 and the founder was Damian Beausang, and later helped by Gabrielle Gilmore. The life members are Marty Greene and Lilian O' Callaghan.
There are roughly 100-120 members. There is one ladies team, and as of 2011 there are two men’s teams.
Morley is a very social club, and whilst we play hard and endeavour to win games, we also like to catch up after a game for a drink and a laugh, and we constantly have social events organised.
